DAVID V GOLIATH AS TOTTS HOST LOWERHOUSE

Tottington St John’s have been drawn against Lancashire League side Lowerhouse Cricket Club from Burnley in the Lancashire Cricket Board Knockout Cup to be played at Tottington on Saturday 27th April. Not only are Lowerhouse reigning Lancashire League Champions, but they also won the Worsley Cup in 2012 so it'll be somewhat of a tricky challenge!

CDO Kieran Coe comments, "Sport throws up these intriguing mis-matches from time to time. However, we are more excited than daunted and are just as committed to providing their players and supporters with the best hospitality we can offer as giving them a good game."

The match starts at 1.30 pm on Saturday – please come and support your local underdog!

Older players will remember a titanic series of matches we played against Blackpool back in the 1990s, with some great memories - let's hope Saturday's game serves up more fun!
