It looks like the sun will be shining from Friday through to Sunday, so what better way to soak up some rays than by heading down to your favourite sports club for the following events we have planned ...

Friday 18 June

20/20 match versus Elton Vale - 6pm start

Tottington St Johns Cricket Club’s latest 20/20 game starts at 6pm this coming Friday and is against Elton Vale. We need to win the match as we lost our first 20/20 the week before last against East Lancs Paper Mill so we need success here to progress. Get yourself down to Crompton Meadows to cheer on the team. The bar will be open, we’ll also have a barbecue and later in the evening you’ll also be able to watch ...

. . . World Cup football: England v Algeria – 7.30pm start

Another must win game! This time it’s England’s second World Cup match against Algeria. After Saturday’s disappointing 1-1 draw with the USA, Fabio’s boys will need a win to get their campaign back on track. Watch the game in style at the club with cooling drinks, quality barbecue food and be sure to take part in our tension-packed match sweepstake on the first goal scorer and goal times.

Saturday 19 June

TSJCC 2nds v Bury CC – 2pm start

Come down to the club and watch our second team in action against Bury CC from 2pm. The 2nds are fast improving this season and this match is a dress rehearsal for the Hunter Cup semi-final clash to take place next month away at Bury. Come down and cheer the lads on.

Sunday 20 June

Rounders Gala/Fun day – 1pm start

A great day out for all the family this – a Rounders gala and family fun day. Come along and watch four rounders teams battle it out for glory (TSJ Ladies Rounders / Tottington A / TSJ "Invitational XI" / Graham Jebb II). You might even get a game yourself if you fancy it. Come along for a fun day out with BBQ / Bar / Tombola / Stalls and much more! The fun starts at 1pm. All welcome!
