TSJCC Juniors

Information correct as of August 2026

In 2020 we launced our new junior setup with an Under 9s team. Our Under 11 and Under 13 sides played a full campaign in 2022, and we then started an Under 15 side in 2023. In 2025 we expanded to a 5th side, our Under 18s. All five junior sides have a full fixture list and play a variety of local league opposition across the area as part of the Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL). In 2026 we also participated in All Stars Cricket, designed for younger players starting out in the game.

A good number of our juniors have progressed to make appearances in the three senior sides. In 2024, three of our juniors made regular appearances for the 2nd XI and we now have regular junior representation in the senior 1st XI as well as many who play Sunday cricket in the 3rd XI. In 2025 and 2026 four of our junior players scored centuries in senior cricket (Oscar Thomas, AJ Roughley, Corey Sheehan and Luke Hall), while others have scored 50s and taken 5 wicket hauls.

The juniors are without doubt the future of our club and we're proud to make significant investment in this area through time, equipment and coaching. Our coaches and helpers have undertaken the relevant DBS safety checks: we take safeguaring and the welfare of all our players, senior and junior, very seriously.

Winter nets are held at Bury Grammar School throughout the off-season, and outdoor junior nets take place each Friday night from mid-April to the end of August at the club.
