GEARING UP FOR THE APRIL RESTART

With outdoor club sport set to resume from March 29th, everyone at TSJCC is gearing up for the start of the 2021 GMCL season on April 17th. With this in mind we are asking as many club members as possible to volunteer their time over the next few weekends in order for us to get the clubhouse, ground and wider facilities ready for the beginning of the new season.

An increasing team of people has been giving up their time to carry out socially-distanced work through the winter and early Spring, and we would ask that anyone who can spare even an hour of their time on any Saturday should pop down to the Meadows. There are dozens of jobs, large and small, that need attention, and there's a special focus on Saturday 27th March, NatWest CricketForce Day. Please come down and help out - we're adhering to the guidelines and you can work safely outdoors on many of the tasks. Not only can you help get your club ready for the new season you can also see the progress that's been made over the past few months, not least the kitchen renovations, the new entranceway from the lines, and the incredible work that the groundstaff have already carried out on the playing surface!

The cricket committee has arranged a number of pre-season friendlies for the weekends of April 3/4 and 10/11, and should these be able to go ahead (grounds and weather permitting) we will be in touch in the usual ways around training and selection.
