RIP KEITH DUCKWORTH
Everyone at TSJCC was saddened to learn of the recent passing of former chairman Keith Duckworth. Keith was a huge presence around the club in the latter part of the 20th century and was actively involved on the committee and behind the scenes for many years. He was the 11th club chairman, taking over from Mark Parkinson and later being succeeded by Mark's brother Scott, our current chair. Keith was made a club life member in 2012 as part of our 125th anniversary celebrations.
Keith's legacy was more than just at committee level. His son Peter played for the club for many years before emigrating to the USA, and still keeps in touch with club events from his home in Indianapolis. We would like to particularly extend our sympathies to Pete and his family at this difficult time, and of course to all of Keith's wider family and friends. Keith was a major influence on those of us who grew up with the TSJ family in the 1980s and 1990s, and he will be missed. The club's flags will be flying at half mast this week in remembrance.
