SENIOR SIDES GO DOWN TO CATHOLICS AND YORKIES

A much depleted 1sts travelled to old rivals Catholic Club - themselves short of players - for what may well be the final encounter between the sides. With KC skippering and an influx of new faces, the firsts made a promising start in the field before Mulkeen Jnr played his customary knock against us, notching up an unbeaten 79 as the home side rattled up a respectable 218-6. There were good bowling performances from Farhan and Nick Marsh (3-26), but the innings ended with a flurry of runs.

Totts started badly with a couple of early wickets, and after Nick Marsh and Crabbers departed the innings rapidly capitulated to 81 all out.

The women's side received a rare beating at the hands of Bradford on Sunday. After posting a moderate total of 117, the Totts girls were unable to make inroads into the home side's line up, and Bradford cruised to a 9 wicket victory.

The 1sts are back on home soil next weekend, while the 2s, who had no fixture this week, continue their title charge with two away games.
