BROX TAKE 2012 BOXING DAY HONOURS [Boxing Day home]

In the 7th annual Boxing Day encounter between Brox and Totts, and the 50th in all, the visitors took the honours on a sodden Crompton Meadows. Totts got off to a disastrous start with the returning Ash, skipper Asif and Nick all departing without troubling the scorers. The on-loan Harry Dearden provided some respite, but despite his best efforts, the home side could only muster 68, the lowest score we've seen in one of these recent games.

With a core of Totts' regular players wisely staying in the pavilion and running the bar and kitchen, Brox found little to oppose their march to victory and swept home inside 10 overs to take a 4-3 lead in the series and claim their first win at Totts - congratulations!

Aside from the cricket, a fantastic time was had by all, with the catering folks run off their feet, and healthy footfall all day, with over 200 people in attendance at various points to enjoy the cricket, the food and some splendid festive music courtesy of Cathie, Russ and the band. All complimented the facilities and the new extension, which proved invaluable!

The event provided a fitting end to what has been a fantastically successful 125th anniversary year, with every event going brilliantly. Here's to 2013 and another great year for Totts and all our cricketing family and friends. Happy New Year!

Over 1000 programmes were sold, another great effort, and we'll be posting the draw results very soon!
