Boxing Day Cricket - It's here again!

Well doesn't time fly? It seems like the season has only just finished but Christmas has almost arrived and with it the biggest occasion in the winter sporting calendar - the annual Boxing Day clash between Brooksbottom CC and Tottington St Johns. We're hosting the match for the second time, and those who attended in 2009 will be sure to remember the 6 feet of snow which adorned the ground - it's looking like we won't be getting a white Christmas this year, but that won't stop us making things festive, with the 20/20 match accompanied by all manner of Christmas delights.

The match starts around 11am, come rain, snow, sleet, mud or - heaven forbid - sun. Why not come down and sample a glass of mulled wine, enjoy a festive mince (or indeed meat) pie, and catch up with the lads and lasses of Tottington and Brooksbottom. The games are always real crackers, with the Brox holding a 3-2 edge courtesy of last year's spectacular triumph on their own turf. With Totts looking to field a very strong side, can the home side even up the scores?

We'd love to see you down at Crompton Meadows, everyone is most welcome, and we wish you seasons greetings and a very Merry Christmas!
