So we've reached halfway in our inaugural fantasy season and there's some big results with all three sides victorious! There were mammoth bar takings at the Meadows as St Winifred's School Choirboys were silenced, ut it was a weekend of low scores. Big Bird joined the party with his usual belligerent hitting, while Rowdy the Grinder eked out a solid weekly high score of 72. Sail Away was the weekend's star bowler, with an impressive six wicket haul.
There are several very solid performers after 10 weeks of the season, with those selecting Katie Paceace, Batty Boy and Tom Lefty all profiting from their 2,000+ point hauls. Beardy Gav is having an uncharacteristically poor debut season, though several all-rounders are struggling to really hit their marks and all hovering around the 1,000 point mark! The wicketkeepers are also bunched together on similar points, with the least-selected, Curious George (Green) just holding on in first.
However the really big news comes in the overall team leaderboard, with Clive finally deposed and down to third after leading the way for eight weeks - has the bubble burst for Clifford's Clowns? Our new overall leaders are the Dazzlers, with Fenton's Flyers a smidge behind. It was Ry Marsh's side We Do Things Right Here that were the week's big winners, topping the charts and moving to seventh overall, while Nick Marsh has now dropped to second bottom in the overall standings after a poor week.
