As some unseasonably warm weather arrived, the boys took on Blackley in a home/away Saturday double header. With good performances all round, both sides took maximum points to continue what's been a very successful start to the season thus far.

The 1sts have never found Blackley a happy hunting ground, so it was pleasing to get the points. Having restricted the home side to 158 all out (Nelly B 3 wickets), there were consistent performances down the batting card, with Nellie again closing the game with a valuable 30 not out in the Johns total of 164-5.

At a sweltering Crompton Meadows the 2nds made light work of the game; having restricted the visitors to just 106, Totts chased down the target for the loss of just 2 wickets. Mike Jones put in a starring role, carrying his bat for 61 not out!

Next weekend sees a double header against a strong ELPM outfit. Let's hope the weather - and the form - hold out!
