Tottington St Johns Ladies Rounders was established in 2002, and has competed under various names. We are affiliated to the Bury and District Rounders League. We were promoted as runners up in division 6 in 2009 and the following year enjoyed a great season. The club was formerly known as Michael Wood Homes ladies rounders team until it became part of Tottington Sports Club in early 2010.
The game of flat bat rounders is played on a grass rounders pitch with 11 players per team. The game spans 2 innings per side, with the winning team being decided on a collective batting score. Rules are set by the host league, which is governed by an elected committee.
Tottington St Johns Ladies Rounders is a continually-developing side, and we welcome new players of all ages and abilities (especially good ones or those able to consume huge quantities of Blue WKD). We strive to maintain a sense of fun on and off the field, and we also enjoy the competitive aspects of the game. All players are encouraged to get involved with any aspect of the club.
The club plays home games at Crompton Meadows, which is located at the end of Beryl Avenue, Tottington.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact captain Kate Caldwell at email@example.com or come along to a game - you will be most welcome, particularly if you bring biscuits.
We have a new kit sponsor for 2014 and 2015!
