Rounders

UPDATE

The TSJ Ladies rounders side ended in 2018 with many players having moved out of the area or retired from the game. For over 15 years the side was competitive and played games to a decent standard and with a brilliant team spirit. We wish all the players well in their future endeavours, with all welcome down at the Meadows anytime. In the meantime this site is preserved as a reminder/tribute to their achievements.

Tottington St Johns Ladies Rounders was established in 2002, and has competed under various names. We are affiliated to the Bury and District Rounders League. We were promoted as runners up in division 6 in 2009 and the following year enjoyed a great season. The club was formerly known as Michael Wood Homes ladies rounders team until it became part of Tottington Sports Club in early 2010.

The game of flat bat rounders is played on a grass rounders pitch with 11 players per team. The game spans 2 innings per side, with the winning team being decided on a collective batting score. Rules are set by the host league, which is governed by an elected committee.

The club played home games at Crompton Meadows, which is located at the end of Beryl Avenue, Tottington.
