Clock tower plans - and strange aerial photo
Your committee is pleased to announce that at the end of the 2010 season, an ambitious new development will take shape at the football field end of Crompton Meadows. The brand new Tottington Sports Club clock tower and extended conference facility will be constructed over the winter. The centrepiece of the new development is a 200 ft high clock face tower, which will become Tottington's tallest structure upon completion.
Thanks to a benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous, the groundwork will commence in early June, which unfortunately means that the rounders team will no longer be able to use the top field. Cricket will be unaffected, however. The ambitious plans are shown below.
In other astonishing news, Google Earth have recently updated their aerial photography of the North Manchester region, and their satellite pass over Crompton Meadows has revealed a quite disturbing image, visible only from above.
